FINALLY took plunge on Friday evening, with the help of a friend being at my side to verify what had been said.

Went better than I thought - think they realise a lot of people are relying more on mobiles now anyway, plus with no internet facilities required Im probably not much of a loss as a customer!!

Checked my details, confirmed who I was, etc.

He did try a kind of 'scare tactic', in saying that in the event of a power cut, I would have difficulties accessing emergency services - I said thank you for the information, but I will go with that!!

So 30 days notice, confirmation SHOULD be arriving in printed form, so fingers crossed
