Public Liability Insurance?

Hi

My hubby is a self employed builder and it is time to take out Public Liability Insurance. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good place to start looking or any recommendations for companies offering a good deal?

I am bumping this post up again as I see it didnt get any answer but also

I have a similar question. Hubby has just started subcontracting for a contracter doing insurance subsidence work and needs a similar policy.

Is it best to go direct to a local broker or try and get it online. some of the questions on the online quotes are a little confusing so not sure I am getting the best possible prices quoted.

If I'm allowed to give a name (I haven't any personal involvement) then you could try Caunce O'Hara Insurance Brokers who cover PL Insurance.

You might find a contractor's website (particularly with the building trade) who have a list of recommended brokers.

Any decent commercial insurance broker should be able to help you. If you provide your locations (county) I might be able to suggest 2 or 3 each.
