Where can I buy Lenticchie Umbre (Umbrian Lentils) in the UK? Preferably online or here in Edinburgh? Need them for a recipe (could substitute with French puy lentils, but apparently the taste is quite different). They are from Umbria in Italy and are also called Castelluccio lentils [ Lenticchia di Castelluccio ] (brownish and very small in size).
Google only seems to turn up US sites eg:

Tried several online Italian delis (eg: Limoncello) but no luck so far.
Thanks!

Have you tried your local Asian food stores? They always stock a wide variety of different types of lentils...0

There used to be a fabulous Italian deli in Edinburgh, can't remember the name, I think it was in Leith Walk, not very far from the station. Mind you, that was a good few years ago, so perhaps that is no longer an option. If it is still there though it would probably be your best option -if nothing else they would be able to tell you where you can get them if they don't have them.0

No still looking - Harvey Nichols, Jenners and Valvona & Crolla don't sell them and Sainsburys used to but no longer does."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
