German kitchen - hacker, Alno vs Wren Linda Barker

Hi All
My very first post in this massively helpful forum. Posting as I don't think I have got the answers yet serching through other posts. So apologies if these kitchen ranges have already been covered.
After months of research for a new kitchen, we have finally got 1 quote for a Wren Linda Barker range for an L kitchen 5mX4m. Which we like. Eggshell finish, lacquered MDF, lifetime guarantee, 8mm back panel, blum etc.
But now have started looking back into 3 others : German - Hacker, Alno. And French Mobalpa. Before even approaching some would like a view from this forum expert as to where Hacker, Alno is compared to Wren Linda Barker for same lacquered MDF models?
I understand Hacker is rated higher than Alno in the mid-range german ones. What about Mobalpa?
Also if for Linda Barker quote of £7.7K I'm reasonably happy and willing to shell out extra 1.7K compared to corresponding design in Benchmarx, what could be a reasonable uplift to pay for a Hacker or Alno? Or is Alno usually same price range as LB but not as good?

I do not remember the back panel detail on the Linda Barker kitchens - is is only 8mm?

Leaving aside the UK versus Germany question my concern is the Benchmarx quote. You are going with Wren yet this is at around 30% uplift to Benchmarx. If I were in your position I would be reading the reviews on Wren (they tend to be dreadful for customer service, sharp practice and so on) and then going back to Benchmarx to either

    1) lower their price
    2) up the specification

    or ideally
    3)both.

Typically German kitchens are sold through local, independent retailers. These do not come cheap. The retailers argue that they are competitive but this is only because the consumer has not negotiated ruthlessly with the likes of Howdens, Magnet Trade and Benchmarx.

As a piece of anecdotal evidence, I have a fairly new kitchen. I have a lifetimes experience of the building industry. My requirements are quality and value for money. My kitchen is not German!

    Hope this helps.

You really need to read all of the Internet threads on Wren .
