American Express & Regain ~ anyone??

Hi. I recently wrote to all my creditors to ask them to accept reduced payments and freeze interest on my various creit cards, most have accepted BUT American Express wrote back saying about a scheme called "Regain" which is provided by their partner company "RMA"???

They said to call them and they could make a "tailored solution for my overall indebtedness, not just to American Express"

Does anyone know anything about this?????

Hi I have just done the same thing and received the same letter- does anyone have any advice?

Had the same letter as you guys, just starting a DMP with cccs and AMEX have sent me the same letter. I have found another post that suggests its a seperate company to AMEX and appears to be just another DCA. I'm going to ring cccs and see what they say.

Ok cccs have told me to ignore the letter and that Amex havent had the DMP offer of payment from them yet. They said that they are registered to an AMEX office but a seperate division. They seem to be an in-house DCA section for dealing with problem customers. In the older post i found through google the person said that they had been offered the soft option...RMA....or the hard option....bailifs. Definately DCA tactics.

hi i can give some advice on these idiots rma like loan sharks absolute pigs do not deal with these have a read around on here and consumer action group forums for more info about these and it will become clear to you.
