Letting a house out - do I need to tell HMRC

  • I'm in a similar situation.
    Taking mortgage then taking off what I actually get into my account profit(after property agent fee) works out about £80 a month so less than the self assessment requirement.

    So what did you do? Looking on line it mentions p810 form.
    Scared to call HMRC as this has been the case for me since about August 2014 😢

    Don't be scared, the tax staff are quite reasonable and very helpful. I found this out when I was in a similar situation and self employed. When I owned up it wasn't a problem, and no fines.

    Just do it
