recycling initiatives to raise money for charity

I am a manager of a Leeds based charity shop. I am trying to find additional sources of income for the shop and in turn the charity as a whole. I know it is possible to do things such as recycle damaged or old jewellry (not specifically gold or silver) for cash and I would love to know if anyone had any suggestions or insight?
Also, I'm aware some shops recycle household iems such as coffee jar lids or bisucit wrappers and they too get money back for this but I am unable to find the relevent info online.
Any advise would be greatly apreciated.

I googled 'plastic lid recycling' and this is the first site to come up:

The same company shows when you google 'plastic wrap recycling'.
You could also contact the shops that you know accept these items for recycling and ask them who they use.0
