Basically I am with virgin currently - have been for nearly 2 years. I have got XL tv, L phone and 100 broadband and two TiVo boxes. I am paying £88/month for this. I cannot afford to keep paying this. I don't watch the tv but daughter and grandson do. She says she "needs" Comedy Central. None of us use the phone. We def need the internet, both speed and unlimited downloads! Netflix and Amazon are used heavily.
I am going round in circles looking at deals/packages. Do I go for fibre? Do I go for just freeview?
Any ideas?? I can get most providers where I live.

Freeview via an aerial ??
Fibre will give no better than VM cable .
Start with what you actually need first .
Basics are Broadband and Line Rental .0 -
1) What about that Sky TV code (I have one going spare) if they have run out. That was £70 down to £40. WOuld that get the TV you need ?
2) Just phone up VM and say your thinking of moving to sky for £xx and see if they reduce your price0 -
Best bet would be free view and 50 mb virgin
Or if you have a bt line and now you can get close to the advertised speeds
The beauty of a bt line is you can go with lots of providers that may offer good deals
For Netflix Amazon sky now TV you could get a roku box or a blue ray player0 -
if comedy central is the only channel you need. Then you could get a nowtv entertainment pass instead, which will include comedy central. Which will be much cheaper than either sky or virgin tv.
Then get rid of the TV and phone with virgin and get broadband only0 -
Now tv entertainment is only about £8 a month. If you go for the free trial and then go to cancel, they'll offer you a deal as well (they being the automated online account management system). Every time your deal is about to run out, go to cancel and they'll offer you a deal - it's worked for me for the last 12 months - currently in a four month half price deal, so paying about £4 a month for entertainment package.0
