Sleeping Bag With A "Stuff Sack"

And I will repeat a suggestion I made many moons ago for labelling clothes for short periods. I have a rubber stamp with our surname on it and an inkpad, and I stamp everything. The only thing this doesnt work on is black socks! The ink is not permanent, but if the kids are only away for a week it doesn't have to be, and it saves HOURS! I feel it's worth sewing labels into school uniform etc which gets washed again and again, but not their home clothes which only need to be named once or twice a year.
And here's a sleeping bag specific suggestion: children struggle to get their sleeping bags back into the stuff sacks so either practice beforehand, ideally with a friend, or send a LARGE strong plastic bag to take what won't fit into the original packing. (Maybe it's just boys, but I once picked my son up from cub camp and found he'd put the sleeping bag loose into his large holdall, and just left the rest in a big heap 'because there wasn't any room left in my bag ...') ::)Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Lidl have the sort that are self inking in from time to time.
Also to prolong the life of a sleeping bag it is a good idea to get an inner or make one out of a sheet, much easier to wash than a whole sleeping bag. Most things in life are easy it's just doing them well that's difficult !!!!!!!!!!

Trying to remember: think I went into a stationers and had it made up which wasn't cheap - £12? - but it has been worth it. You can buy kits where you put your own wording in a la John Bull printing kit (showing my age here!) and they are, as Highwayman says, self-inking but I don't think the typefaces they give you are as big as on mine, where each letter is about .5 cm tall.where did you get the stamp?Signature removed for peace of mind0
