Friday 19th February - What Small DFW-Style Things Will You Be Doing Today?

Welcome, Fizzy 11

Hope you will stay with us!0 -
Hi Fizzy
I use a similar recipe to LegoMum but use almond/peanut butter instead of chocolate powder (although I may try this now!) and almond milk (but normal milk works fine too if I don't have any almond milk). I also freeze the banana first (remember to peel first as I didn't once and then had real trouble trying to get the skin off!)
I find posting on here and paying attention to all the small things makes me feel like I'm making progress even if I'm not paying off the CC, so definitely recommend you stick around!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,435.00
Total paid off - £10,165.89 (65% paid off)0 -
The list continued:
* Looks like a buyer has been found for the Mark One Rust Bucket Broken Version. I've found a trader willing to pay £100 for it sight unseen. It went onto Gumtree at 3pm and a deal had been struck by 3.30pm.Hopefully the guy with the truck will collect it tomorrow morning. I'll be pleased with £100, the local scrapyards would only offer me £40. I'm glad I didn't advertise it on eBay now as that would've cost me.
* Ordered two car key batteries for £1.50 including P&P on eBay. Much cheaper than paying £4 in Tesco.

Good Evening Everybody :hello:
Apologies for my very late posting. Ziggy sorry to read about your bad news. Lots of hugs to you and your family. Everyone on here is thinking about you.
My days list included:
Updated my monthly budget sheet.
Checked online banking and savings.
Another NSD. This month is better than last month for these
Worked another full day and have my rota for the next 5 weeks :T
All meals today were from our cupboards. Weekly shop tomorrow evening.
Browsed RightMove website for potential new home. Nothing yet but remain hopeful
My list never deviates much and for that I am thankful. Posting on here daily reminds me how important it is to respect the money I earn. Thanks for listening folks.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay safe.

Skiing was great fun, I only fell over once so that is an improvement. It also had the desired effect on ds who on returning home tackled his German and Maths without any fuss.
I would like to discuss with OH when and how he is going to spend his annual leave this year, but we will have to delay it as he has no idea how much he has accrued, they don't have leave years at his place you just build up a tiny bit of entitlement every day. I will need him to get the figures next week and talk to him next weekend.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hi everyone :hello:
Late check in - I, of course, found plenty to keep me busy today after all. I've had a niggling headache for most of the day that I just cannot seem to shake though
Still, another pretty relaxing day - only one minor stress, which I've dealt with.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Check banking and PAD (looking tight for the week ahead - thank goodness for tutoring)[/STRIKE]

Possibly take ds to £land later for the £land challenge - he has to find the best thing he can in the shop to spend his 2x£1 coins on[/STRIKE] He got a toy sword and some balloons. DD got a writing pad and a mother's day card, which I'll make dh reimburse her for. I got 3 balls of wool (that I didn't need) and some chocolate and coconut rice cakes. Good fun for the £land challenge.

load of washing[/STRIKE]

No other housework apart from washing, washing up and food prep.[/STRIKE] May have to give in and hoover tomorrow
[STRIKE]
Try and let dh have a lie in - he had a bad night last night[/STRIKE]

Make time for myself somehow[/STRIKE] Caught up with the bestie who has been ill for a couple of weeks now.

Get dd to gymnastics later [/STRIKE]

Do one survey[/STRIKE]
Was nice to catch up with best friend, although she did tell me that she can't afford to come on the holiday we had booked for us and the kids in summer. I'm a little bit chewed off about it because I have already paid it all off, and it is already booked etc. But nonetheless, these things happened and I tried to ring and see if we could cancel and got the worst ever customer service. I've sent a long and ranty email - assertiveness level 3 Foxgloves. If I don't lose too much I'll cancel - don't fancy it without her.Not giving up
