car crash lair

had an rta about a month ago,driving at 30mph car comes out of side road hits me,sends me into a wall,her fault you would think,shes saying she edged out to see round parked cars then came out a bit more then she stoped when she seen me,then said i hit her,i took pics of the rta whith her car facing out of the junction the way she drove out? if i had have hit her car it would have been nocked out the way,crazy so liability is disputed,anyone???

    She could just be chancing her luck. I had that once too. I let my insurance company know about the letter I received. I sent off a letter to both my insurance company and hers and never heard any more about it.

    thats what i thought but i do have the pictures to prove it.and there is a police man in the picture with her car facing stright out,if i had hit her car it would have spud on to the curb as mine hit a wall on the other side.as i never braked because she ran in to me,madness

    Good luck with it. I'm sure if you're not at fault you won't have a problem.

    Explain what happened to your insurance company and let them deal with it. :)
  • It's standard that one should never admit liability, even if you think it is solely one person's fault - she's probably just taking it a bit literally. As long as you give insurance co. as much info as possible, it's down to them to sort it out. Remember to put in a claim for any excess you may have to pay out.
  • Cases like this are exactly why I always carry a little camera in the glovebox.

    I once had a car go into the side of me, and then tried to make out that, from the length of his skid marks, he couldn't have been going very fast. I then pointed out that the final braking effort was provided by nearly 2 tonnes of Mk.5 Ford Cortina!
    The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
