I wasn't sure whether BLRI qualified for repayments,if mis-sold, in the same way as ordinary PPI. However, having seen the successes of others on this site I thought I would try. I'm so glad I did. I only had full details of a couple of the business loans I had taken out over the years with Lloyds but I knew I had taken out a number of other loans in earlier years. I filled in the forms with all the details I knew but also asked Lloyds to check their records for earlier loans.
To be fair to them, they did. I received a cheque from them for over £19900 !!! I nearly fell off my chair!!!

Nice result. BLRI is a form of PPI. It is geared to the self employed and company owners. So, it does have better coverage for those types than a typcal PPI policy would. However, loan PPI is single premium, added to debt which is effectively incorrectly set up. So, its very easy on loan PPi (of any type) to get a successful outcome.

    £19,900 - very nice!!
