How to get foreign degrees recognised?

Hi All, hope I am in the correct forum?
I have a general enquiry concerning international (foreign) degrees/diplomas/etc. I would like to know what the process is for a Hungarian for example who has a 'DIPLOMA WITH MASTERS DEGREE' in Chemistry (they are classed as a Clinical Chemist). What is the process to get this diploma recognised as a British diploma (the equivalent of)? Would the degree holder need to get their
Hungarian diploma notaried by https://www.naric.org.uk/ (naric) first, before applying for a university place, or would a university instantly recognise that Hungarian diploma (because they have a list of known diplomas etc) with no need for a NARIC Statement of Comparability?
Also, would that degree holder need to know the English language to a certain level? And would they need a 'European Pass' to accompany their Hungarian degree?
Regards
Peter

A degree is not a foreign holiday! - You need to get this into the Education Forum.0

The admissions office will check Naric for the UK equivalency. Usually some form of language testing certification is needed, if the first degree was not taught through medium of English.0
