Meter Reading for New Supplier & Current?

Hi

My first time switching and I've just sent a meter reading to my new supplier (EON) and wondered if it would be a good idea to also send it to my current supplier (Npower) or will it cause problems for EON when they contact Npower.
Any experienced switches out there who could advise.

Many thanks

Under OFGEM rules, the new supplier is responsible for the management of the switch. E.oN will pass your meter readings on to a third party for review. Once the readings are agreed, then they will be used by your new supplier to open your account and passed to your old supplier to close your account. Final billing can take up to 6 weeks: getting any credit may take a little longer.

All you need to do is check that the closing and opening readings are the same. If not, then contact your new supplier.

    Good morning sheffieldeagle,

    Thank you Hengus :D

That's all correct, we'll manage the change of supply as we'll be the new supplier. The start meter reads you have provided to us will be passed to your old supplier via third parties.

The reads will be verified and we'll start your account from these reads and your old supplier will close your account to the same reads.

You can keep a note of the reads and check these against the start and closing reads, any probs you can just let us know.

    Thank you and welcome :D

    Helena :)
