Mis-sold solar panels?
I installed solar panels c18 months ago, and have recently received several calls to see if we felt we had been mis-sold and that we maybe able to claim money back. Are these legitimate or scams? Is anyone aware of solar panels being mis-sold and successful claims being made?

Sounds like a scam/fishing expedition.
I wouldn't doubt that some people have been missold panels or advised that they would get greater returns than is possible. If you feel that you are in this situation then go back to the installer or the MCS.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Hi - welcome to the forum. The question you need to ask yourself is 'do you think that you have been mis-sold PV solar'?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hiya, I've had a few of these, I assume they use google earth or something and just cold call everyone with panels.
My generation is better than the installers estimate, and roughly spot on with PVGIS (despite my having shading), so I can't see how I was mislead ...... as Hengus sensibly asks.
However ........ I've tried for years on here to offer advise to those enquiring about PV, many of whom have been quoted stupidly high prices (but is that miss-selling, or poor research) and overly hyped leccy savings, further boosted by overly high leccy price inflation.
I'd guess that there's been a fair bit of 'dodgyness' regarding leccy savings. But no idea if that's what these guys are after. I got the impression from my calls, that they were suggesting panels were not on ideal orientations ....... no **** Sherlock! ....... but I was fully aware (complicit) with that.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

I'm sure that there are scammers out there looking to offer to get you compo. for PV panels, missold timeshare etc. , now that whiplash compo. is under scrutiny.0
