Direct Debit Payments to British Gas
I am new to switching and currently BG Dual Fuel Standard Tariffs. MSE shows that the1YR FIX: BRITISH GAS Collective Fix February 2017 will save me over £460 per year. I currently pay by Variable Direct Debit (ie I only pay each month for the energy that I use each month.) The MSE Site only shows a payment method of 'Direct Debit' with no mention of a variable DD. Will I still be able to pay a variable amount per month based on actual meter readings if I switch?

Hi MajPayne
British Gas have told that although it technically only offers this tariff for fixed monthly direct debit payments, you can at a later date opt to change back to variable payments.
Hope this helps.0
