NCP Season Ticket...no space

Hi, my husband pays for a monthly season ticket to park in the NCP Wellington St car park in Leeds. It costs £120 a month and they are wanting to increase it to £170. Their terms and conditions state that there is no guarantee of a space! How can you pay for something and not receive it. Can they do this? Parking in Leeds like any city is a nightmare and Steve has no other options. To get a space in the 'over sold' car park means he leaves for work at 6.30am to get a space, he starts work at 9am and we live 30 mins away. (not on a bus or train route). Help/advice appreciated! thanks

Where do you live? I can't think of anywhere within 30 mins of leeds city centre without transport links? Not criticising, just curious?

Would it be an option to park somewhere on his normal route to work and use public transport from there to the city centre? Probably cheaper and if he can find a decent car park with no restrictions (or even one he needs to pay at) it could work out cheaper and save time. Might also prevent him having to leave two and a half hours early :)

They can and do, they will argue that if you don't want the space, many others do. Just like British Airways who double book and say it's because of "no shows", NCP will claim the same.

Maybe get the local press involved but sorry to say, if you want the facility, you have to pay up, it's the penalty for living in overcrowded towns and cities

If it's a busy P&D display car park, then they genuinely can't guarantee a space.

So he drives to the station, and then walks to work? Are there no other car parks available that he can pay for monthly, and or no other train stations he can park at before riding to Leeds?

Are there no park and rides?

Sounds like this car park is essentially a write off and he needs to figure out a better commute.
