Student fee change mid course

I joined a private uni in May 15 in order to study a 2 year degree priced at £7k per year.
As I was a mature student I was required to complete a pathway course before, begin a 3 year degree (£6k per year) and after my first term I would be assessed to see if I was good enough to move onto the 2 year course......all making sense so far I hope?
I agreed to this process, I worked hard and have just been approved to the 2 year course.
But the uni changed its fees in Sept 2015, the course now costs £9k a year. And being a private Uni student finance will not pay more than £6k.
So essentially I agreed with them to study with the aim of being placed on the 2 year course at 7k but must now find an additional £6k by this time next year.
This can't be allowed surely? What can I do?
I have start a complaint with the Uni but its not looking good.

Are the fees for the 3 year course still £6K? If so, you must have had contingency plans to do that if you weren't good enough to move onto the 2 year course, so just carry on with that.0
