  • mopsey, why is this a stupid reply? have you not seen wing nuts before? i have got small screws out like this before but it all depends on how tight the screw is other wise the penny comes off.

    Surely its quite tight... guessing due to the head being sheared off....

    Id whack a drill straight down through it. Same size as the screw, then just use two new self tappers.

    Good chance the screw is stainless, so take it nice and steady drilling it out.

    If it doesnt drill out, just drill a new hole next to it, if theres room for the clip in the recess if you move the hole down 3mm or so.
