change power provider but got solar panels

My power supplier is Eon for both gas and electricity and about 4 years ago had solar panels installed through Eon (but not by them). I am extremely pleased with my fit payments etc, but if I change supplier who will make my fit payments, will it still be Eon or my new provider?. Thanks for any help and advise

E.oN. Supply and generation are two separate contracts. There is no point in switching your FIT payer as all the money comes from the Govt. Switch your supply contract at will and keep giving E.oN your PV meter reads.

Hi wallynnette and welcome to the Forums.

As Hengus says, the two are separate. You can change your import supply but leave the FIT account as it is. We'll continue to make your FIT payments even if we don't supply your electricity and gas.

Don't know if you've already done this, but you can register your FIT account with our website. This lets you send us your FIT readings online. You can also see your FIT statements, generation history and FIT plans.

    Hope this helps wallynnette.
