Royal Mail won't refund me for lost parcel because they claim buyer won't sign forms

This is an update to my question about a month ago:

Royal Mail still refuse to refund me because the buyer won't sign a form to say he didn't get the item. The buyer has told me he's received no such form. It's very hard to know who to believe, but surely this must happen all the time in Ebay cases where something has gone missing and the buyer refuses to sign to acknowledge it.
Any thoughts? Worth pursing or should I just cut my losses?

sorry not going back to read the saga , YOUR contract is with the royal mail , the customer has not got a contract with them
however if RM want the customer to sign a form to say they have not received it ,its for a reason
maybe the postie was wearing a bodycam and the PO want to instigate fraud charges , but need a sig to drop the customer in itSave a Rachael

Not necessarily, they do this in a large number of 'lost item' cases on eBay. As for the bodycam, highly unlikely. Fraud charges brought by the RM, even less likely.0 -
Why not ask RM for a copy of the form so you can send it to the non-recipient via email. May not be a coincidence that they never received the goods nor the form.0

so what signature did RM provide you?0
