    Many CC companies offer only the first two options.

    Even where the fixed amount option is available (most cards have stopped offering it), the amount will be adjusted depending on the last invoice. If the fixed amount does not cover the minimum, the minimum will be taken and if nothing is due, there won't be a DD in that particular month.

    Unlike a SO which will go on regardless unless adjusted or cancelled.
