Halifax credit card application and unable to process ......

I've done my eligibility test and for most of the day I've been trying without success to apply (and be accepted) for the Halifax 0% fees credit card. I've completed the online application and pressed send - but then a message comes up saying 'having technical difficulties come back later' ...... is it just me or anyone else out there having the same problem?
