Hi

l am thinking of getting a silhouette cutter but now sure which is best and have looked at some many sites my head is buzzing.

l was thinking of getting the portrait but have read that the cameo is better but at almost twice the price l wonder if it is worth the extra. l don't want to spend lots of money but l don't want to regret buying the wrong one.

If l get the portrait can l buy vinyl to fit or is it all 12" and need cutting down to size?

l really want to make stencil and add pictures that l have either drawn or from the internet or clipart. Also have seen people cutting shapes to put together (3D) and emboss projects. Can l do this with the portrait?

Many thanks

  • The only difference is the Portrait cuts A4 and the Cameo cuts 12x12 or 12 x 24 depending on the mat size. If you mostly buy A4 card then the Portrait is your best bet but if you want to cut larger projects then buy the Cameo. I have a Portrait and I love it!!
