Count your mum as the lucky one here because it sounds like they actually jetted the drains and didn't stretch it out for half a day . overpriced yes . ripped off yes . could it be worse .much

  • I have heard of many for double glazing , insulation , knockers for driveways gardening, roofs, PPI mobile phones etc Rarely domestic electrical( more in business pat testing , testing etc? )As you have to purchase contact info etc and its cost wouldn’t warrant the return? Domestic never ever heard of it and being specific to a component in this case a RCD how did they know she had one? Apart from large % don’t have them and those that do couldn’t tell you if they do or don’t and for all they know you could have had one replaced the day before.Whats even more amazing is the RCD was faulty ?????

If you can name the company that cold called and as they should be member of a governing body it would be pretty easy to get them kicked off it if you can produce the paperwork ?

They cold called and a rep visited her.The RCD was in the hallway fixed to a piece of timber. He obviously worried her and she signed up for over £600 of unnecessary work.I do not recall the Company apart from they were based in Norwich.I know this Company had been cold calling the Bury area as some of her friends had the same thing and actually gone ahead with the work.
She wanted to go ahead but I got a reliable Sparkie (known) who checked her system.
I don't have paperwork but I will check with my mother whether she has kept it.

In future tell your Mum to be careful what she throws down the drain that might block it.
