I am a British Gas customer on standard tarrif Gas & electric just moved to property in 2015 and went on standard tarrif initially, was hopeing to look into other tarrifs once I got settled. I then had a letter saying I was leaving them for my electric supply, immediately phoned them and said it was news to me. To cut a long story short they investigated and told me they had contacted other supplier and it was a mistake and supply would stay with British Gas, all sorted. While I was away on holiday another letter arrived and electric supply was taken over by another firm. British Gas say they are trying to get it back, this has been going on since September, 2015. I now want to get the one of the British Gas duel tarrif deals but they say I am stuck with the standard tarrif and will be charged on that from September when they finally get the supply back. Very annoyed as I am losing out and I never initiated any of this.
