Don't hold your breath, it went on for months on other boards and took contact with Martin on Twitter to get things moving quicker :mad:

Well I agree with you - it is up to MSE to sort it. Not many people will have the time to click on every link to report as spam.

It is a job for the paid techies at MSE Towers - to devise ways to prevent it.
It should not be a job for Board Guides (or any other members) to spend their time sorting out.
The spam button is designed for the occasional spam, not mass spamming attacks like these.

I agree that it is not up to us and that is why I gave up last night. I am happy to help keep boards clean and reprot the odd dodgy post, but this is too much. I know this is money saving site, but they need to throw some cash at finding a solution to this and at having tech cover overnight.

From e-mails I received this morning they don't like every post being reported, just one per spammer.

we have to deal with hundreds of reports on a daily basis, it would help us out if you just send one report re a multiple spammer.

It will get dealt with, and the best help you could give us is pressing the spam button as soon as you see one.
