Change of name on dual fuel account

Our gas and electric is currently with first utility in my wife's name. Thinking of switching to the british gas collective fix which will save us £69 per year £129 minus the £60 exit fees from first utility.
Does anyone know if we can change the account name from my wife's to mine (same surname) when we switch?

Probably safer to simply get your wife to do the switch in her name, and then once it's with BG, contact BG to get your name added to the account
