Linked address

Options
Hi,

I had to have a property repossessed in 2011 and subsequently went bankrupt later that year. I am currently tidying up my credit file and one of the linked addresses on my callcredit/noddle report is the RBS mortgage centre. I asked for this to be removed but noddle have contacted me today and said that the bank won't remove it and I would need to take up the dispute with the bank. Does anyone have experience of this? Of course I haven't lived at the rbs mortgage centre so surely this would raise suspicion to future lenders? I would have thought you could only be linked to an address you had lived at. I was hoping to have my files clear in readiness for applying for a mortgage late next year so any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks

I've got a similar issues as you...I went BR in 2009 and my mobile account with orange was included the the BR...Call Credit is reporting I live at the Offical Recevers Office! For some reason they didn't default the account and it's still reporting every month as up to day at my previous address. I should probably write to them to get the account removed! I don't know if it's having a positive or negative affect!

It's annoying because even when the bankruptcy drops off after six years, that address will still show making it obvious that there's been a repossession in the past! Really frustrated by it. Only callcredit have it on their file, experian and equifax don't. Of course I wouldn't ever deny the bankruptcy/repossession when applying for mortgage but I wanted my files as tidy as possible

Fortunately there are plenty of lenders that don't use call credit, so you prob won't have much of an issue...I can get the orange account removed I just need to write to them and send the paperwork and they would have to remove it. Maybe the lenders don't get to see the address it hasn't stopped me getting credit!
  • I hope it will be ok. Might write to them direct and ask if they are willing to remove it. Doubt they will be! Hope you get your file sorted :)
