Going from snoozing on the windowsill in the sun, to a mad dash up the stairs, dash back down the stairs, then a wrestle with the hall runner rug.
Oh and of course finishing up on her side with her front paws still clutching the rug, absolutely motionless staring at me as if to say "What?"

'Having a mad half hour' was what my mother used to call this.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0

Yeah, it's the "mad five minutes", "mad half hour", "mad dash" whatever you want to call it.
It's both perfectly normal and completely bonkers. Wouldn't have it any other way!0 -
My Eric still does this, albeit a mad two minutes. He's 18 years old, bless him !0

It was wild here a couple of weeks ago and I was ready to strangle my two! They spent about an hour charging up and down my hall and through my bedroom when I was trying to sleep. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I found that more than 1 cat was much worse as they used to set each other off.
At least when Murphy (always the only cat) had 'had his fun', he just calmed down and slept.0
