Motobility Car and Haggling (is it ok to do?)

I've started looking around for a new replacement car as mine is due for renewal. What I wanted to know if anybody who also as a Motobility car have haggled regarding Advance Payment (AP)? Or is it the wrong thing to do?
Basically I've seen a couple of cars with extra features which would benefit me. However the AP is slightly more than I can afford to pay.

Well, you know you'll get a couple of hundred pounds back if you return your previous car in good order?
As I understand it, haggling will go nowhere as the price is cut back as low as it will go, or so we were told with the first one.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

You must 'haggle'.
We've never paid the full AP on any car from Motabilty.
Don't let the dealer give you the guff about 'only get a few hundred pounds handling fee', they don't mention that units shifted go towards some very meaty targets.
Try the site Which Motability, people on there discuss new leases, best deals etc..0 -
As well as haggling with a dealer, there are a few dealer groups offering discounts off the Motability Advance Payments, for example:
Caffyn’s Volvo - £500 0ff AP’s: http://www.caffyns.co.uk/volvo/motability/
Inchcape VW - £300 off AP’s : https://www.inchcape-volkswagen.co.uk/offers/motability-offers/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=reachlocal_MotabilityOffers&mh_keyword=%2Bmotability%20vw%20cars&gclid=CIqShraOg8sCFSoKwwodSEMCWw
Pentagon Fiat - £300 Cashback - http://www.pentagon-fiat.co.uk/offers/motability/fiat-motability-cashback-offer
If you search the web there maybe more/different makes.
If you do not live near these dealerships print off the offer and see if your local dealer will match it. As an example, I printed off the Caffyn’s Volvo offer and my local Volvo dealer honoured the same deal meaning I have just ordered a Volvo XC70 2.4TD D5 SE Lux AWD for an AP of £488 which is an absolute bargain. Plus it comes with the free 'Winter Pack' with Active Bending Lights. Also the dealer was willing to drop the price of a couple of optional extras.
So it is worth doing a bit of an internet trawl and asking your local dealer to match any offers you find. If they won’t there is nothing stopping you ordering the car from a dealer who is willing to offer a good deal. The only negative thing is maybe having to collect the new vehicle from a distancemaway but you can then get it serviced locally.
