    There's no need to convert wireless to LAN. Wireless devices already operate on the LAN. I guess you mean Ethernet instead of LAN...?



    Again, there's no such thing as a LAN to wireless converter, but you should be able to use an old router without needing to replace the firmware or doing any major fiddling. Just give the router a suitable IP address, disable DHCP, and you can use it as an Ethernet switch and wireless access point.

    What make is the BR Player? Panasonic sell wireless adaptors for their machines - just plug into the player, and use on-screen menu to connect to wireless network....

    It's a Toshiba BDX2550 one, I wonder if they do something similar. All is good in the meantime with using the extender, it works, it's connected the the Internet, I just don't like the visible yellow cable. On the other hand the player is very slow in responding and it's like drawing a blood out of a stone, so I might resort to using it as a player only and get another Firestick or chrome cast for the bedroom.
