Reclaim PPI if application was online?

Just a quick question for you guys...
I had a credit card with Capital One for a number of years - tried to reclaim PPI, but as I had made the application online and ticked the button for PPI it was rejected... Can I appeal this decision as I genuinely thought that it would increase my chances of having my application approved?
thanks for your time

If the box was not pre-ticked then no, you miss-bought rather than were miss-sold. Unless you have proof (such as a copy of the application) where it suggested that having PPI would make your chance of acceptance higher then you're just using your assumption as a reason which was why you were rejected.
You have 6 months to refer to the FOS if you disagree, Cap will most likely defend it if they haven't done an auto-pay alreadySam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

How are capital one responsible for that?
There is nothing wrong with having PPI. Any complaint is about the sale. They didn't sell it to you or put that opinion in your head. So, what exactly are you complaining about?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
