Has anyone been to Europa Park. What is it like?
Last year we went to Efteling. It was brilliant. So instead of Euro Disney. We thought we would try Europa.
I read Strasbourg was a good airport to fly into it. I was looking at Budget airlines from the North East though?
What about trains? Say flying into Paris or Hamburg and tsking the train.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

It's in the southern most part of Germany, so flying into Hamburg would be a very bad move, considering the time and cost it would take to get down by Train. It's like flying into Aberdeen to go to Dover.

Realistic Airports would be Stuttgart or Saarbruecken (on the German side) or Zurich.0 -

Lol thanks. We would see some real Germany though lol0 -
Europa Park won an industry award in 2015 as the best amusement park in the world. While I find that a bit surprising, it is an amazing park!
When I went a few years ago we flew on Ryanair to Karlsruhe, which I think is now called Baden Baden airport (not sure if there's flights direct from the north east, we got a cheap domestic flight down to Standsted first).
Your geography is a bit off! Zurich is a fair distance away but Basel in Switzerland is another good option and easy jet fly there. Germany's well connected with trains so you could get trains from anywhere to Europa Park.
We stayed in Freiburg, which was a very nice "real" German town, was a few years ago I went, but you could get a coach from there to Europa park, and also to Basel or Baden Baden Airport.
Frankfurt is not a million miles away and has plenty of flight options.Save £12k in 2019 #360
