Thanks guys for confirming that the 4 direct debits do not need to be unique to get the monthly reward and presumably also the switching bonus that is currently available.0

We haven't confirmed that. You still need 4 DD mandates on your account until we hear otherwise. Mine just happen to deposit into the same Tesco account.0 -
Sorry I think we have misunderstood each other. What I meant is that it appears by the fact that you have 4 DD linked to one Tesco account and that you have been paid the monthly bonus that that is acceptable. This would suggest the DD do no need to be to seperate entities like 2 different Tesco savings accounts and a couple of charity DD to fulfill the criteria.0

£4 for me too today. Being a bit of a !!!!!, my 4 DDs go to 4 different accounts and I'll leave it at that now. Good news for those who have fewer accounts that you can get away with 4 DDs to just 1 account.
Edit: apparently p-u-s-s-y is not an acceptable word. The world is full of surprises.0 -
No £4 for me, but instead an email saying that I needed to pay 4 DDs in order to get the reward. As the Co-op account is our main household account and the utility bills, mortgage etc are paid from it, this was a bit puzzling. So I called customer services and was told that it was basically a glitch because of when the system started monitoring the accounts and it hadn't picked up some of the DDs. So he paid it manually, and said it would be fine after this month.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -

I haven't joined this rewards scheme yet but from what I can see, no-one has confirmed that you can get the reward through paying out the same Direct Debit mandate 4 times. I believe you need 4 different Direct Debit mandates to each pay out in a month and I have recently found out that that is possible to achieve with just a single Tesco savings account (you set up the same account details more than once with a different account nickname and it sets up multiple mandates into the same Tesco account).0 -

This was for Lloyds but it's the same idea.0 -
What we really need is a report of a couple of weekly DDs qualifying (or not) towards the four.0

Well you were luckier than me. I called to query the email saying I did not pay enough DDs when I HAD 4 DDs pay out during January.
The T&Cs say that if you fail to have 4 DDS pay out between the date of registration and the end of that month or in any subsequent calendar month then you miss out on the reward.
So not a glitch as you were told, but a feature of the account.
So I'll get my reward next month instead.0 -
I went for this but have decided it's not worth the hassle as I also found the mobile app and online banking fairly dated. I find the Halifax Rewards, Natwest Reward and Barclays Blue easier to get cashback. I am now using it for a donor. Might come back in the future when there is another switch incentive.0
