  • Stop admitting things, only divulge information that supports your case.
The driver was a genuine customer when they ticketed the car and a receipt has been provided to the keeper as proof.
That is all you should be saying at this stage in E-mails or appeals.

That sticky has been read so many times, imagine all the people that has helped :)

So no need to wait for them to get details off the DVLA? Am I best emailing it through their website? I'm not the registered keeper and he is saying just pay it, I've had to hide it in case he does!!

Assume you are talking about him indoors ?

Follow all the good advice on here, it works.

As said, UKPC are a very dodgy lot, on their final brownie point from the DVLA

Worth pointing out to "Mc .. there is mold on my egg .. Donalds"
that they are employing a fraudulent company designed to scam and extort money from their customers.

    Good luck with him indoors

he's all for a quiet life, enjoys the results of my moneysaving but no interest at all how it happens :D

Thanks for all the advice i will follow the blue template to the letter
  • They have a claim against you and they will rip into you with the evidence and you will pay lots of cash on the strength of their evidence........ EVIDENCE oh! Dear, oh! Deary me, I think they have forgotten that major part in making the claim.
You can appeal it or let it be as it's not going anywhere but following the process will cancel out lots of begging letters.

Sounds like my husband too - love him - but they don't change. I do all the money and moneysaving, all insurances, all birthday presents and goods for the house are bought by me after some detailed price comparison (except my own presents that he has to buy himself of course!) and I research and book our holidays every year and got to research a new small family car last year that he and I both drive but I chose. Power to the women moneysavers! :D

You do realise the appeal needs to be in HIS name as keeper?! Tell him to expect a stupid rejection letter or you will have to hide that too...this is prefectly winnable if you time the appeal to day 26 as advised in the NEWBIES thread, then win at POPLA by getting a strong POPLA appeal sorted out back here next month once UKPC finally send a rejection after faffing around.

DO NOT let him reply to any fishing reply from UKPC asking who was driving. Ignore that, wait for the rejection letter once you have appealed online, in the rk's name on day 26.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hurrah, got a letter today to say they have cancelled my parking charge. They did say they reject the notion that the signs are unclear but its not their policy to cause me undue worry (really?!) I actually forgot to upload my receipt but the template letter did the job, so thanks for all the help you guys give :)

"he's all for a quiet life, enjoys the results of my moneysaving but no interest at all how it happens"

If you want to really wind him up .... make up a fake invoice just like the UKPC one and serve it to him/her .... tell him you now know some big boys who will come round to spoils his/her quiet life if he does not pay up :rotfl:
