I'd be inclined to have a moan about it and I would expect compensation in the form of a goodwill gesture, perhaps a voucher in the region of £10-20.
Whether you missed it or not it's not right to take that long to return someones money. Paying out for it is a good way to ensure a better service in future.
But they dont have to pay out, goodwill or otherwise so not quite sure how you think that will improve service.0 -

You're right they don't have to pay out but good companies like JL often feel they should. Money paid out this way eats into profits so it stands to reason that they will try harder not to get in that position in future.0 -
Raise a formal complaint. Write to the CEO if you can.
They should also be apologising and reimbursing you.If you had to pay charges or interest because of the delay.

Quite clearly the OP hasn't incurred any charges. He would however be able to try and claim the £5.42 he lost out on interest.0
