Scottish Nightmare
Scottish Power are a nightmare.
For over a year now I have had an issue with them. it all started when my account was moved to another supplier without my permission, the mess that they made of my account trying to get it back was stressful and a nightmare. I think it went on about 9 months, maybe longer before it was sorted and even then I had to get the ombudsman involved.
Then in November 2015 I thought it was sorted out, I got a call, we agreed how much I had to pay in order to settle the account (as I had cancelled the DD for the duration of the complaint) and everything was back to £0 (or so I thought).
Until recently where it seems I have had letter from them every other day advising me of a new balance of some sort where apparently I owe them £585, even though I’ve paid my DD every month since the account was “settled” in November. I notice though that they have GIVEN ME £407 recently.
I have not been with another energy supplier for years and am switching to another via the energy club here but I was not sure if all these companies are as incompetent as eachother, I suspect they are but Scottish Power seem to have become gold medallists in the utter incompetent department, and (again as I am sure they all are) they don’t even care.
