11 weeks later. Could an Experian company representative give an update on this, please?

FWIW, in my latest attempt with the Financial Ombudsman Experian seems to have tell them that they really can report to lenders that I am not in the electoral roll.

Let me make this clear again:
If you happen to use this address format, which is the one from the Royal Mail PAF, when applying for credit

"Flat 5, Elan Court, 36 Newark Street, LONDON, E1 2AA"

But the electoral register has you in

    "5, Elan Court, 36 Newark Street, LONDON, E1 2AA"

Experian may tell to the lender that you are not in the electoral register.

You've pointed something out that no doubt they are investigating. Not sure what is achieved by them posting a thread on a public forum is going to achieve.

Reddwarf simply asked for an update. Not an unreasonable request after 20 weeks.

Wouldn't the address variants show as a linked address on Experian so the lender would see your on the electrol register at one of the variants.

I tried to register for the MSE Credit Club and I got a "Sorry, but you have failed the Experian identification process"

I am reaaaaaally wondering what went wrong...

Instead of the MSE Credit Club registration this could have been a mortgage rejection. It would be really nice from Experian to reply...

This just doesn't surprise me. Experian are a nightmare! The most frustrating customer services, one of the 'representatives' I spoke with on the phone recently felt it was ok to speak street language - a sure fire example of how utterly shambolic the company is.

Good luck with your battle. You deserve everything to b sorted and compensation for the ongoing stresss they have caused you.

    Slightly ironic.
