It is a "remove a party form" that both would sign for the removal of a name and it is available in branch... someone didn't tell you the truth....

Just out of curiosity, how has it taken 10 years for this to be discovered? It would show up on your husband's online banking and bank statements as having a TPM on there surely?

Make sure that's documented somewhere. Any expression of dissatisfaction should be progressed as a complaint.

Insisting on it being in writing is unacceptable.

No it doesn't, it's not the same as a joint account... It's almost like a note on their system to say it's ok for the third party to speak them about the account.
