East Midlands Train PCN - advice!

Hello
I received a PCN from EMT on Friday for "causing an obstruction". When i arrived (12:20) the car park was pretty full and the first spot I tried was so tight I couldn't open my doors.
The next space I parked between 2 cars and with a car in front of me. All seemed fine although but I did notice I wasn't within a regular box - the white lines are very faded, I assumed as others were there it was the norm.
When I returned I had a ticket on the wind screen, and it was clear then when the car that had been in front of me had gone the area was a lane
My car certainly wasn't blocking access to any way in or out, or an obstruction.
Do i pay the £35 to EMT ad put it down to a lesson learnt?
Or should I appeal, at least request the photos they say they have,
Thoughts?

East Midland Trains are BPA members so should be easy to beat with a two stage appeal.
Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal around day 25 using the BPA appeal template in blue exactly as it is without revealing who was driving. Acronyms etcetera are all explained in the aforementioned NEWBIES thread along with reasons for not appealing until near the end of the appeal window.
If/when it is rejected you then make a second stage appeal to PoPLA, but you have plenty of time to read up on that.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, do not miss the appeal deadline, never, ever 'phone a parking company.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Are they quoting By Law 14 by any chance? EMT have just taken over Newark Castle station car-park from the council and have put up signs quoting this by-law but still calling their tickets "parking charge notices"What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
