Praise for Farmer Autocare (Blackhall - Edinburgh)

I'm generally suspicious and wary of 'chain' garages and tend to use independent garages for MOTs etc.
However, I recently used Farmer Autocare for a 18,000 mile service. I have a slightly uncommon car and I had been told during previous MOTs and services (at a couple of different locations) that my car's ECU is not of the standard variety, therefore garage computers can't clear error or service window messages. So I always have to go to a dealer afterwards to have these messages reset at the cost of half an hours labour (although the combined cost is still way cheaper than a dealer MOT/service!).
This time, a couple of days after service, a 'change oil' message appeared. Great I thought, time for another dealer trip. Still, I took it back to Farmers to double check beforehand that there were no issues post-service. To my amazement, they cleared the error message. Turns out there is a trick to make my car's ECU compatible with the standard garage computer! This is something that ALL garages in the past have told me was impossible!
So, thank you Farmers! You have a regular customer now
