Charity investment managers recommendation please?

Dear all - I've been recommended to repost on this board so hoping people can advise.
I work for a small charity which uses an investment management company to manage the investment portfolio. We've been with them a while and are not sure we're getting best value for money any more, the fees seem quite high too.
After half term I'm going to be researching other companies but wonder if anyone on here can recommend a company they use and maybe let me know what sort of fees theirs charges.
Naturally we want to maximise the interest for the benefit of our services but also invest ethically and keep fees down. Unfortunately there is nobody among staff or Trustees with the right skills to do this in-house - and probably not a good idea anyway.
Any pointers gratefully received.
Thanks
DS

Can you give some clues on the fees you pay already?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Very grateful for those links xylophone. Will do some serious research after half term. Have had a good read through the info on Charity Commission site which was also helpful but it's an area I know little about.
Thanks again.
