Installing DIY alarm - probelm finding suitable place for siren box

In Money-saving style I would like to install a DIY alarm myself and it looks straightforward BUT I can't decide where to put the siren box.

Unfortunately the front of my house has the 1st floor roof has an overhang, sticking out from the gabel so that it's in line with the porch. This means I can't really reach high up and I'm not too comfortable with ultra long ladders or climbing on rooftops.

There are 3 options the way I see it:
1 stick the siren on the side
2 stick the siren lower i.e. 1st floor height
3 pay somebody else (meeh)

Any other suggestions? What do you guys tink?

Ifs its too low then its easy to tamper with or even remove it.

Up the ladder you go or get someone else to fit it up there.

Can you fit it somewhere that you can reach from an upstairs window? Remember that, even though you contract somebody else to go up the long ladders, there may be maintenance issues later, such as battery change (if is that type) or replacement sounder.

Bungalows have them at ground floor level. Just put it somewhere in full view so anyone tampering with it can be seen.

Burglar alarms vary in cost, but make sure yours is professionally accredited and fitted for your insurance!

The mere fact of tampering with the siren box, will trigger the anti tamper mechanism and set it off. At least, that's how mine works.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
