New Stanley flask is curdling my tea :-(

Hi

I had a large 1 litre Stanley flask (1 yr old) that did as it claimed, and milky tea would keep fine and hot for up to 15 hrs, with no problems, though it would be all drank within approx 8 hrs.
I would get 3 mugs, or 5-6 cups from the flask.

Because I'm now disabled, and can't get up easily to make hot drinks, I decided to buy the 2 litre Stanley flask (at £30, gulp) because I was so happy with my smaller one.

The new flask is really letting me down, and I can't work out why. After just 6-7 hours approx, the whole flask full is totally curdled, and undrinkable :(

I'm now having to keep the milk separate, and it has sorted the problem, but I'm still confuddled!

Why would this happen, when the smaller flask didn't cause an issue, over a longer time span? I can't see how it can be due to a fault in the flask (both are made identically too)
Maybe it's a scientific thing? More volume causes it to happen?

Any theories please? :)
