    Get a MP3 player instead.

Why not get an mp3 player, so you don't need to carry one or more CDs with you?

mp3s can easily be copied from your mp3 discs to your PC hard drive, or to an mp3 player.

The battery life will be better, it won't skip if you bump it, etc

I have several CD players that will play mp3's all gathering dust in a draw somewhere.

Better things came along. Puzzled why you want a CD player when a keyring sized mp3 player will store at least 10x more than a single CD

From someone who wouldn't buy a torque wrench by post because they're so fragile it could get damaged.

Anyone who posts something that starts with, ends with or contains the acronym 'lol' anywhere has an opinion that can easily be discarded IMO :D
  • I was surprised when I saw at least 4 different makes of these portable cd players in a major german electrical shop at the weekend. I didn't think there was still a possibility to buy them off the shelf

Even more surprising is that portable cassette players are still being produced and sold
