I didn't know that, so I've learned something today - thanks! (and it's not even 8.30, haha!)
I don't think I've ever really thought about it before. I don't think we can really imagine how powerful the sun actually is!

Morning. Great fact finding FireFly. Didn't know that about the sun. Yes, April we do forget how powerful sun is.
Pleased to hear you have some sun now. Great result with Waitrose. Hope you manage to fo some of your jobs today.

Rose hope you got some sleep last night.

Katie hope your ear infection is improving.

Indie are you off to work today or relaxing at home?

Been thinking about Sheils in the sun. Hope Sylvia is having a great weekend.

Here it's GSs fifth birthday today. They are taking him to visit his other GM who does not go out much and then bringing him here for his cake later. Shame nice Italian restaurant at the end of her road has closed or we would have all gone there for lunch.
We have the big transformer (comp win) all wrapped can't wait to see his face when he opens it. We have dinosaur pjs and books for him. He's dinosaur mad. For ages he's been able to say all the dinosaur names. Amazing as he didn't talk till he was two and half. He's having a joint party next Saturday with a new school friend.

Sun has just come out here. Hope everyone has a good and lucky day.

Morning peeps. Had a good sleep last night did not wake up till just before 8am. Bit dull here this morning but at least there is no rain. Happy Birthday to your GS :bdaycake: Leanfun hope he has a brilliant day.. Done two online shops as running low on everything and freezer is a bit bare as well..Need to sort my tubs out that are in the courtyard but bulbs that are up at the moment are still flowering away. So maybe give them till the end of the month before I put new compost and summer plants etc in. Bought two lots of Dahlia corms from QVC yesterday each pack has 6 upright and 6 trailing so should give a good display to hanging baskets. I have four so should fill them up well also bought some of Richard Jacksons flower power which peeps have been raving about and had good reviews.. Anyway must get on and try and get some comps done. Have a lucky day everyone.

    :hello: Good afternoon everyone!

    mini-graphics-snoopy-883549.gif

Hope you're all ok. Sorry to hear about your ear infection
Katie - hope you're feeling a little better this morning. :)

Lol fire**fly - that makes 4 of us not knowing about the
sun! :T Thank you for the information - you are never too old
to learn! Must admit most of us take the sun for granted -
will have a google later - you've wet my appetite for more
facts about the sun now! :j

    smileys-sunbathing-774118.gif

Talking of the sun, it's another beautiful weather day here
(same as yesterday) and likewise fire**fly, I shall be
popping in and out to do this and that in the garden. :D

Managed a good few hours out there yesterday - mowing
the lawns, doing a bit of weeding, saving a big bumblebee
from the clutches of a spider.

I know I shouldn't interfere with nature but on this occasion
I happened to be by the 'action', luckily I got the bee away
from the spider (using a very long handled soft broom :p),
and away they both went, disgruntled spider scuttled off
one way and delighted bee flew off in the other
    direction! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:j Very well done April receiving the Waitrose gift card! :T

Wishing your GS a very Happy 5th Birthday leanfun - he
sounds a delightful little lad and I bet you can't wait for
him to open all his lovely presents including the
    big transformer!

Awful news about the poor man rose ... his family and
friends are in my thoughts - hope the police catch
    those responsible.

That's dreadful indie about the poor soul who lay
undiscovered for some time - so awfully sad.

Have a wonderful day all, take care - I will 'see' you
    later. :)
