welcome back sheils
lovely you've had a great little break,
weather report says we're to expect snow tonight!please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
It's been trying to snow here fire**fly all day! We've had heavy flutters of it but nothing's laid thankfully!
That's a lovely ditty with the garden fairies fire**fly :A
Did you manage to warm up after your walk Alfie?I think it's warmer outside than it is in this house despite the weather!
Glad you got home safe Sheils.I bet you're both shattered now. Did you get chance to go by the stadium where the river was? That ship I mentioned had been replaced by an even bigger ship which is getting work done on. We went by tonight and I tried to take a pic of it for you but it was a bit dark.
Sylvia, I find out on 1st march if DD2 got into her chosen school. If not, I will appeal against it. I had to phone school yesterday regarding sons uniforms and coat, some kids in school think it's funny to take the ink refills out of pens and throw them or hide in pockets. I'm sick of him coming home with it all over his back where they're throwing it. He doesn't know who's doing it but it's happening on lots of classes, not just his!
How is your DS and DD now Leanfun, have they recovered after being poorly? X
Hope everyone has had a good lucky day
I've been to watch DD's show again. I can't wait until the next one! It's nice to see her with both girls and boys all getting along and going out to eat together tooBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
good morning all
hope everyone's keeping warm & well x
lol, we've had some snow hereas well wingo,
just enough to cover the paths a little bit
still freezing out though & got to try to melt the
water in the water bird baths for the little birds
as they keep
flying down to them & it's all solid,
got shop delivery coming soon so will have to get a move on!
hope everyone has a lovely day & hopefully a lucky one

No frost or snow here but it feels cold!
Won a mug and soup from the Asda instant this morning so comping fairy hasn't forgotten me completely!
Been organising changing my gas and electricity again. Deal finishing at end of month and not been offered anything else by Br Gas so heading back to Eon. Should get £30 from MSE energy club as well as saving on bills although bills will be bigger than last year as deals not so good this year.
Just came home yesterday wingo as there was a problem on the A66 and we decided to go on the A69 and did hit snow in places. We were ready to go home really anyway. 4 nights always seems long enough in hotels in winter. Need to get back to some healthy eating. The Chinese buffet was nice enough, have had better but enjoyed it and it was £9.30 and £3.20 for glass wine so not too bad.
Hope you get the birds sorted out FF and delivery arrives OK.
Going to get a few comps done and then go and deliver nephew's congrats card. His baby had a lung infection and had been kept in neo-natal unit but they are hoping to get her home today.
Good luck all.

Is there an Asda soup one running as well as tesco one Sheils?
Day is young but already had two wins today (maybe my luck is coming back). Won another book from Goodreads (alreasy read and reviewed the one I won last week) and also won a bird box and 1kg of sunflower hearts for the birds. They will be happy
Hope everyone is well£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -
Well done on your two wins Becks :T Hope you get some more
Sheils, I have always been happy with eon with gas and leccy. I had Tesco points on it too but they are stopping that now. Still, it's much cheaper than all the other energy companies I've tried. That's a shame the buffet wasn't that nice. There is much nicer restaurants but further down that road not walking distance. Well done on the soup and mug :j
Let's hope the bird feeders thaw soon fire**fly! We sometimes forget about our wildlife in this weather. Mam was counting the magpies the other day in the tree at the back of her garden and there was twelve, some young ones! They've been in that tree since I was a little girl.
We've all got the sniffles in this house again! I'm at work soon but DH still in bed! I needed to get some shopping in too. I've just took some tablets as it's always migraine Friday for me!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

Crikes wingo! That's a lot of magpies! I find them absolutely
fascinating though and when I'm out and about ... if I see
just one, I always salute him and say "Good morning Mr
Magpie. How is your lady wife today?” Just a superstition I know
but I always feel better for doing it .... always hope that no
one is around though to hear me!:rotfl::rotfl:
I wonder if the magpies in your mam's tree have a hidden hoard
of stolen shiny goodies stashed away!:p
Hope you stay migraine free today. :A

Have a lovely and lucky day all and take care.
