Hi Laura and Little Miss Winner everyone is very friendly in the Inn great to 'see' you in here. Good luck with comps.

Well yesterday I managed to visit DD2 on the train. I told DH I was leaving him as I had a suitcase full of things to take, including Christmas presents as they didn't make it here. It was great to see GS three, and GD one and half. Presents included some Pooh books Alfie. Had a great time.

Well Rose hope you are feeling a bit better and made it out without too much pain. Your delivery sounds great. I've been reading the Johnny Marr book I won and think you would like it.

Sylvia sorry to hear of your accident. Hope your hand and arm are not too painful. I always put arnica gel on bruises. I used to knit a lot but gave up either painful hands. Hope your DD2 is better soon. My DS sounds a bit better but each time he seems better it comes back again. He has low immune system.

Hope your cold is better Wingo. Do hope a better job comes along for you soon.

Sheils hope your a Dad is ok.

Take care everyone and good luck all.

Looking a bit dull and cloudy here but not cold or wet so thats the main thing!

Hope everyone is well today. My dad can't move very much but thinks it is because he has been moving heavy furniture etc! (he is 84) Mum wanted new carpets and suite and redecorated livingroom but forgets dad can't do as much as he could. At least they did get a painter in. Just hope dad is fit for their holiday.

I used to do a bit of knitting but it seemed to take so long to do I used to give up. Glad you are enjoying it Sylvia.

Good luck to your son's gf indie, travelling to work must be a pain and expensive.

Hope everyone has a lucky day,

Indie good luck to your DSs GG do hope she is successful.

Happy Birthday to your DIL Rose.
  • Good morning everyone, thank you for the warm welcome. Today it's my dad's anniversary of him passing, he died last year. I'm a tad emotional at the moment but I hope after the trip to the cemetery and lunch with my sisters I'll be okay. I've got a job application to work on at some point so need to get my head straight before I can do that. Hope you all have a lucky day

    Thanks leanfun.

Rose hope your DIL has a lovely birthday.

Just had text from bank and they are putting our money back into our account. Just a thought for people who use cash machines when they are out and about, maybe avoid the ones that aren't beside a bank with no banks logo on them as they are more difficult to trace and retrieve money back if there is a problem. We only used that one as we wanted English money and were at a retail park. Going to stick to our own bank's machines now as easier and quicker to claim. I did know that as worked for over 20 years in one but I thought not many problems nowadays. Nowhere to report a problem to though if a machine in a retail park starts playing up so people will keep trying it. I did look for a phone number but didn't see one. Anyway thankfully there was plenty of money in account so didn't cause a huge problem apart from having to go into bank.

Morning all, I've spent the night entering competitions and I didn't see the sunrise :o sun has just come out here, so hopefully warming up. Off to do some housework and no doubt I'll be back soon. I just thought I'd pop my head in the Compers Inn and say good morning to you :)
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.
