I can't believe how quickly the months have passed too Sylvia. There are still people around here with outside Xmas lights on their house from last year! Too lazy to get them down more like!
Glad DH has got a date for his op and will be thinking of you xx
Fire**fly, can I send them crawlies to yours too?Oddly enough we haven't seen any since I got my conkers out....(pardon the rude expression
) but them pesky ladybirds are desperately trying to get inside the house.
Thanks for Buddha pic :A hope it's a lucky rub for us all!
Good for you Sheils treating yourselves :T Have a lovely time. Just walking the golden mile is tiring enough!
Well done on your first win of the month leanfun :j Did you cross your neighbours new baby's palm with silver when you saw the baby? We class it as lucky in the northeast, it's an old tradition but not sure if it's the same everywhere else.Good luck!
Alfie, you've been busy digging out your shed and gardening too. The weather is meant to turn cooler soon so enjoy while it lasts. And make sure you get your conkers out!
You're lucky indie having a quiet Halloween! We are fairly quiet around here too but did get two kids.
It's bommy night I'm dreading too like Sylvia, I think the fireworks are far too loud now. I agree they should be only allowed at organised displays.
There was an ambulance at one of my lovely neighbours house with flashing lights. I don't think she's going to last bless her, and her son is a waste of space, couldn't care less and rarely visits. I think he is just waiting for her to pass away so he can have the house. It's a shame as you only get one mum.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Wingo not heard of the silver thing.here must be a north east thing. Sorry to hear about your neighbour. This last wee we have had bad news about three friends with illness and falls and DHs sister had a fall and has a broken wrist but she lives over an hour from us.
Sheils pleased you were able to walk today. Hope you enjoyed fish and chips.
Firefly we had a quiet day today, thanks. MDH took garden waste to tip meant two journeys but all clear till I do some ,ore much needed pruning. We even had a quick to prepare fish dinner. We are picking up DD1s son tomorrow and Thursday from school as she is working all week.
Firefly a Funny thing happened Alfie and Sylvia mentioned Buddha and I thought what Buddha? I hadn't seen one and when I went back none there. Later I looked and it was there. Tried for the good health and luck.
Hope someone in inn will be lucky with end of months. I too can't believe we are already November..0 -
lol wingo, you can send them to me any time
though sounds like you having your 'conkers out':rotfl:
are doing the trick
am up to date now with reports on the ladybirds,
luckily enough not seen any here up to now,
hope they don't get in yours,
fingers crossed for Buddha rubs
sad news re your neighbour x
glad you had a quiet day today leanfun & got some
much needed rest x
it's hard work pruning/gardening sometimes & can make
our bodies ache next day when we've left off it for a while,
glad you found buddha & hope he brings you lots of luck
just going to do online shop now as haven't had time today
always think 1st day of the month is manic with getting comps done
am I the only one or does anyone else think soplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Morning, no your not the only one ff i find it manic as well. Well done on the win leanfun, great start to the month. Hope your legs are rested today sheils.I haven't seen many spiders in here since the weather changed but i think Charlie boy comes down of a night and looks for them as sometimes he will be sitting on the sofa staring at a small black spot on the floor then he will jump down and investigate what it is...lol
I have a late shift today so no need to run around to be out the house by 6.40. Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
 Good morning everyone!
Hope you're all ok.
It's a beautiful day here after a chilly start, apparently
we're having sunshine all day!
I'd best carry on with the garage though cos still got
loads to do. Only found dead spiders at the mo fire**fly!
Decided to be quite strict with myself on what to keep
and what to donate to charity and I've managed to fill 8
cardboard boxes with old crockery etc (from garage - not
needed, apart from being cozy homes for the spiders!) so
going to arrange for a charity to come and collect them
at some point - sure I've got more to go in the boxes
yet.
Puddy cat is loving it all, especially the box lids - think it's
a cat thing!:rotfl::rotfl:
Know what you mean fire**fly about the first day of the
month being manic - I find that doing the Alphabetty
thread - so many charity awareness days to include for
a new month.
Sad news about your lovely neighbour wingo. You're
so right - we only get the one mum. xxx I think crossing a
new baby's hand with silver is a lovely tradition. My two
had their palms crossed with silver when they were
newborns :grinheart but I do think it depends whereabouts in
the country you live.
Sounds as if you are having a wonderful time sheils, hope
you're not aching too much after all that walking! Fish n'
chips for dins sounds scrumptious!
Must fly and have some breakkie - have a lovely and lucky
day all and take care.

By eck....it sure is nippy today! Suns shining brightly though. The garage roof has a lovely frosty glaze on it.
Fire**fly, I think the first day of month is hectic for everything and everywhere! Roads, shops, banks, online....kids!I tried to put my online lottery on just now and the sites down again.
Thank you for Buddha yesterday :A I rubbed his belly and had a little cash win on tombola of £92 :j
Wow Alfie, that is a lot of boxes for charity! It's amazing what we keep and what we don't need. My garage is the same with boxes everywhere, some new stuff but I have whittled it down a bit. I just don't like going on there for fear of spiders etc!
Enjoy your day before work indie.DH got up and ready thinking he was on an early shift and it turns out he's on a late!
Have another good day in Blackpool Sheils
Enjoy your day with GS leanfun. It's such a shame when you hear lots of bad news on friends and neighbours, and I always think whenever you hear about one person, it always comes in three's (or maybe I'm just superstitious!) Haven't heard anything on my neighbour yet but she has no quality of life at the minute.
Well, must go get kids off to school then got a safeguarding course before work. Have a lucky day everyone.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
We have brilliant news. DS phoned to say GD has been given a place in GS's school. Someone must have dropped out over half term. So pleased when we went around the school the reception class looked great. DH hopes she will behave. She's very extrovert. I thought she did such a performance the day we took GS there that the Headmisstress might not take her. Still in shock here.0
